29th Street

A modern interpretation of a Spanish-inspired surf shack, this Hermosa Beach home was designed for a laid-back couple and their family who live for the ocean. Both husband and wife surf, so every detail was conceived with sand, salt, and sunlight in mind — from the outdoor shower to the polished concrete floors in the beach room that stand up beautifully to daily use. The design embraces the light and warmth of coastal California living — airy, bright, and quietly minimal — with handcrafted Spanish tile in the kitchen and minimal plaster fireplaces that anchor the home with texture and restraint. Every space was crafted to feel open, relaxed, and effortlessly organized, reflecting a lifestyle centered on family, friends, and the rhythm of the beach.
